Titchfield Haven

The Meon River completes its journey at Titchfield Haven National Nature Reserve, a 369 acre site of river, fen, pools, reedbed and meadows. There are eight bird hides from which to enjoy the wide variety of wildlife, and on the east side they are connected by a series of boardwalks. Tickets need to be purchased from the visior centre.

Farlington Marshes

What’s new?

  • The ploughmans at The Royal Oak comes highly recommended, as does this walk in the surrounding New Forest which we recently updated.

  • Because everyone loves a refreshment stop on a walk, we have added directions for reaching a tea-room with a little play area to this walk at Iping Common near Midhurst.

  • Welford Park is the home of The Great British Bake Off and is also one of the best places to see snowdrops in the south of England.

  • On a recent walk at the RSPB’s Pagham Harbour reserve, we got to try out some bird themed crafts. There are more special activities like these on over half term

  • The views from The Trundle in West Sussex are the best in the county. We have added more to this route by providing details of how to walk to Singleton with a very family friendly pub.

  • We joined Bird Aware Solent for a guided birdwatching walk at Warsash Shore. This was such a brilliant way for us to learn about the birds we spot on our walks as well as what steps walkers can take to care for them.
