Easy walks for the whole family
Hampshire Surrey Sussex
The Trundle
This short and easy walk allows families to explore the Iron Age hillfort of The Trundle. You can enjoy fantastic views across the landscape as far as the English Channel and directly over Goodwood Race Course. As an optional extra, you can follow our route down to Singleton where you will find a pub and play area.
Broadmoor to Westcott
Follow paths through the lower wooded slopes of Leith Hill, passing an intermittent waterfall and a coffee van hidden in a garden at the edge of the woods that you can only get to on foot.
Compton Down
We were really excited to visit Hampshire Pantry after it opened and a quick study of the map showed us that we could walk directly to the farm by starting at the superb play area at Oliver’s Battery and hiking over Compton Down with lovely views.
Chiddingfold
Chiddingfold is a gorgeous Surrey Hills village with fine homes and a timber framed pub set around a large green. Our walk starts from the recreation ground with small play area and heads across farmland and bluebell woodland with river a river running through.
Every Ambling Path walk has a stand out feature that children will love including magnificent play areas, shallow rivers for paddling, epic country parks and ancient ruins to explore.
Covering two national parks and two national landscapes, our detailed guides have all the information you need to get the whole family out walking right away.
