The restored Basingstoke Canal is a beautiful place to walk or navigate. It is a haven for wildlife and rich in history. This walk takes you around one of the most attractive sections between Dogmersfield and Winchfield.

This walk along The River Wey Navigation packs in an awful lot. The romantic remains of Newark Priory, an Elizabethan summer house, a riverside pub and plenty of locks, weirs and bridges.

An easy walk along the pretty canal side passing locks, bridges and plenty of wildlife. The perfectly located Onslow Arms was voted best pub for families in the British Pub Awards.

Fishlake Meadows is a wetland nature reserve in the southern Test Valley, just outside Romsey. There is a wealth of wildlife to be found here from osprey to dragonflies to water voles.

You will find plenty of wildlife to spot on this walk, which follows the unrestored section of Basingstoke canal. The area is rich in wild garlic in late spring and if you are lucky, there will be fields of yellow rapeseed too.
