Just west of Winchester, this country park has miles of forestry paths to explore as well as chalk downland topped with a folly which has an interesting tale to tale.
Butser Hill
As one of the highest points in Hampshire, it is no wonder Butser also provides some of the best views. Part of the Queen Elizabeth Park, you can either walk up from there or follow this child friendly walk and avoid the steep climb.

River Hamble Country Park
The walk may only be forty-five minutes, but you will spend a whole day here as there is so much to do in this riverside country park that even has its own farm!
Eastleigh Lakeside Country Park
A walk and a ride on a train! This little country park on the edge of Eastleigh has a circular walk passing ponds, a steam train, a play area, a nature reserve and an amphitheatre.
